2017 Coon Creek Rendezvous

This will be a Traditional Primitive Pre-1840's Fur Trade Rendezvous with designated primitive camping areas available throughout the nearly 160 acres. Both wooded and open sites are available as well as sites adjacent to Coon Creek.

Camp Fee: $30.00 - No extra Trader fee - Early Set Up Available - Teardown Sun after 3:00 PM

• Primitive Dress Required during Public Hours (9 AM – 7 PM)
• Muzzleloader Pistol & Trap Shoots – Friday 5 PM & 6 PM
• Saturday Morning Breakfast – Saturday Night Potluck
• Primitive Bow Shoot (Sun. 10 AM)
• Muzzleloader Rifle Shoot (Open to the Public on Sat. 1 PM)
• Hawk and Knife Throws (Sat. 10 AM)

NEWS FLASH !!! The annual Coon Creek Rendezvous moving to CVCC

The CVCC membership accepted the request to move the annual Coon Creek Rendezvous from the Coon Valley Park to the CVCC. This year's Rendezvous will be held Thur. June 23rd through 25th and will be open to the public during the days. Rendezvous camps will be set up through out the club grounds at primitive sites. Final details are being worked out so watch for further announcements here and on the CVCC Facebook page.

Serious Sportsmen Winner for April

 The Serious sportsman raffle prize for April was a Browning BAR Mark  III 7mm 08.  The lucky winner was Doug Braun.

 The winner of the April Monthly meeting Drawing for the $350 gift certificate to Walmart was Bill Swiggum. 

Membership Meeting this Thur. Apr. 27 and Work Day this Sat. Apr. 29

The annual CVCC Election of Officers for the coming year will be this Thursday at the meeting starting at 7:30 PM. Come and show your support for all that we do and what we provide to all of our members.

This Saturday will be a Work Day the Club to continue work on the back area of the club house and maintenance of the pine forrest from 8 AM to Noon.

Muzzleloader Target Season Begins This Sat., Apr. 22nd @ 9 AM

CVCC is hosting the annual WMLA Spring "Phil Siehr Team Shoot" and meeting. Shoot registration/practice begins at 8 AM with competition shooting from 9 AM - Noon. This will be followed by a noon meal provided by WMLA, Shooting awards and the WMLA Spring meeting and election of WMLA officers.

This event is open to the public to either watch or shoot. Come on down to the CVCC and see some of the best muzzleloader shooters in the State as well as what the CVCC and WMLA have to offer both the beginning as well as the experienced muzzleloader shooter

Last Spring 3D Bow Shoot this Weekend - Apr. 8 & 9

This is a "Dual Shoot" with the Chaseburg Rod & Gun - Shoot both shoots and be entered in a drawing for a $100 cash prize. Shoot from 8 AM - 4 PM with food and beverages available. Great weather predicted so come on down!

Serious Sportsmen Winner for March

 The prize for the March drawing of the Serious Sportsmens raffle  was a Browning HW24 Grey Textured ELock Safe.  The winner was John Alseth.

29 New Hunters Certified at March 25th CVCC On-Line Hunter Ed Field Day

All 29 students enrolled in the annual CVCC sponsored WI DNR On-Line Hunter Education successfully completed all required sessions and testing to earn their lifetime Wisconsin Hunter Education Certificates. 20 students had perfect scores on the written test and 25 has perfect scores on the practical test. This class established a new high average for CVCC Hunter Ed classes of 99%.

Thanks to all the students, Conservation Warden Shawna Stringham and volunteer instructors Steve Pauloski, Corky Roethel, Steve Nestingen, John Alseth, Gary Butterfield, Ron Pennebecker,Dean Daniels,Dick Wallin, Kevin Sloane and Royce Curtis for making this another successful class.
