Driftless Folk School to Offer Adult only Hunter Safety Class

The Driftless Folk School in Viroqua will again offer to Adults the basic
WI DNR Hunter Safety Education class starting Tue. Sept. 7, 2010 from
7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Landmark Center.  The class will meet on Tue. and
Wed. evenings for 3 weeks - Sept. 7 & 8, 15 & 16, 22 & 23.  The instructors
for the class will be Royce Curtis and Corky Roethel.  To register for the class

Hunter Education

The Coon Valley Conservation Club is sponsoring their annual Wisconsin Basic Hunter Education course beginning in February.  The course will be held each Thursday at the Coon Valley Village Hall from 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM beginning on February 4, 2010 ending on March 18, 2010. There will also be two Saturday morning classes at the Coon Valley Conservation Club on Mar. 6 and Mar. 20 from 9 AM to Noon. There is no minimum or maximum age. Parents and adults are encouraged to enroll and participate. A Parent or Guardian must attend the first class to complete and sign registration forms for those student under the age of 18. Advance registration is requested. Please contact Royce Curtis at 608-452-309 for details. The course fee is $10.00 and covers all necessary materials. Persons born on or after 1-1-73 must have a hunter education certificate to purchase any regular Wisconsin hunting license. (Persons 10 years or older can participate in the special Mentored Hunting Program without this certification. However, we encourage these hunters and their mentors to enroll in this course.) 

16 New Hunters Certified in the CVCC Internet Based Class

On Saturday, April 24 th, 16 students participated in the required Field Day to complete the first ever internet-based CVCC sponsored WI DNR Hunter Safety Education class.  The students along with 6 instructors and the District Safety Warden, Bill Yearman, spent the morning outside in the rain shooting .22's and 20 ga.

25 New Hunters Certified in Annual CVCC/DNR Hunter Safety Program

On March 20, 2010, the annual CVCC sponsored WI DNR Hunter Safety Education class certified 25 new hunters.  All 25 students who finished the course passed the written and practical tests with an overall class average of 96%.
     

On-Line Hunter Education Class Offered

The Coon Valley Conservation Club is sponsoring an On-Line Wisconsin Basic Hunter Education course.  Students enrolling in this class must complete all lessons and lesson quizzes using the International Hunter Education Association On-Line Course by Saturday, April 24, 2010.  Students are required to attend the final field training and testing day at the Coon Valley Conservation Club on Saturday, April 24, 2010. 

On-Line Hunter Safety Education Class Offered by CVCC

The Coon Valley Conservation Club is sponsoring an On-Line Wisconsin Basic Hunter Education course. Students enrolling in this class must complete all lessons and lesson quizzes using the International Hunter Education Association On-Line Course by Saturday, April 24, 2010. Students are required to attend the final field training and testing day at the Coon Valley Conservation Club on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
