Central Wisconsin Environmental Station - Outdoor SkillsCamp II
The Coon Valley Conservation Club every year offers to sponsor a minimum of two 7th grade students to attend the CWES Summer Camp out of our Education Fund.
This year the Outdoor Skills Camp II will be held the week of July 12th - 17th and will cost $355.00 per student.
This camp is for students ages 13-15. The students must make arrangements for their own transportation to and from the camp.
The only requirements we ask is that the student would write a brief paragraph about why they would like to attend this camp. If they are selected, after attending they are asked to write us a letter about what they did at camp and/or attend a monthly meeting to tell the members directly about their camp experience.
This year there was only 1 applicant: Brandon Gabrielson His paragraph reads as follows:
Dear Coon Valley Conservation Club,
I live in the valley and like to listen to the wilderness and look at nature and see animals but not many animals live in my valley. I have never been to a summer camp or had a real outdoors experience. I would like to go to learn about nature and learn how to help keep animals living and help keep the environment good for animals to live off. I have never spent much time outside, but I would like to start by learning how to conserve nature and animals.
Sincerely, Brandon Gabrielson
