We are happy to announce that we will be hosting our 14th annual Handicapped/Disabled Person Deer Hunt at the Club Grounds from October 3 - 11, 2009.

The first drawing in the CVCC's Raffle for Serious Sportsmen was held at the monthly membership meeting on Thursday, August 27th.  The lucky winner of the Benelli Super Black Eagle II 12 Gauge Shotgun with a retail value of $1690.00 was Brian Role of Norwalk, IA.  Our next drawing will take place at the September 24th

A group of dedicated members were on hand on Saturday, June 6th to pour a concrete floor around the Chicken Pit.  This project adds the finishing touch to our Chicken Grilling area which is used for our annual Chicken Q in Ausust as well as a host of other events.

The Coon Valley Conservation Club every year offers to sponsor a minimum of two 7th grade students to attend the CWES Summer Camp out of our Education Fund.

The Coon Valley Conservation Club has dedicated a few acres of the club grounds to be used as an oak savanna. In the 1800’s, Wisconsin was covered by more than 5,000,000 acres of oak savannas. Scientists believe that the oak savanna has existed in Wisconsin for the last 25 million years.
